Many of my students do not have the materials that they need for class. They rarely have a pencil, let alone colored pencils, markers, etc. I am trying to get class sets of these materials so that my students can successfully complete their projects and activities without having to worry about not having the supplies that they need. Having colored pencils, crayons, etc. allows students to show their individuality and creativity while still accomplishing their math skills. Many of my students struggle with math and dread going into a math classroom. Creating fun and exciting projects and activities is the way that I try to turn that around for them. Math isn't always easy, but it can definitely be fun.
