My students need bilingual, easy reader, and Spanish books to take home and read with their families. I have the privilege of teaching some amazing bilingual students who have everything to gain through a quality education. At our high-poverty, urban elementary school, the teachers work hard every day to close the achievement gap so that our students can be successful in life once they graduate from high school. Quality educational resources play a key role in enhancing the learning environment. My English Language Learners need as many hands to support their language acquisition as possible. Students who read at home with their parents are more likely to improve their reading skills! These resources will enable parents to support their children's language development. The bilingual and Spanish books support student learning while giving parents a chance to share in the reading experience.
