Little ones tend to wiggle more than the older students. In kindergarten, students are learning how to sit still and focus. For many students, this is not always an easy task - their bodies need just a little bit of movement to be able to pay attention (focus). The Kore wobble stools provide an age appropriate way for students to get that movement and be ready to learn. I have 2 in my class so far and we are rotating those 2 amongst the whole class. I would love to have one for each table and at the horse-shoe table for small group instruction. They have worked very well in my room, but two limits how often students get to use them. The scoop rocker chairs are needed for similar reasons for independent reading time. My students who have tried a scoop rocker chair before are far more focused on the reading than those without. Both types of flexible seating have done wonders for some of my students, we unfortunately do not have enough of them right now.
