My school is located in South Yonkers, a very low socio-economically depressed area. Most of our students receive free/reduced lunch. My sincere belief is that just because our school lacks fundamental resources, we shouldn't give up having those resources. I do my best to bring those resources to the class, from scouring Craigslist for school furniture and supplies such as a projector for my Smartboard, to shopping at yard sales, to partnering up with local businesses such as the local tennis club for old tennis balls for the bottoms of chairs and desks. My students are hard-working, and deserving of resources and materials to help them achieve success. Please help me to help them achieve their goals.
