Movement, and sensory play, in particular, serves as the foundations for learning. With your generous donation, my students will have the opportunity for gross motor, balance, coordination and play involvement as well as engagement in a wide range of movements which would shape their readiness to learn and attend. In addition, when the underlying sensory processing skills are efficient, a child’s behavior, attention, focus, and learning progresses well. Since my students present with difficulties with stair climbing. The Step and Bridge equipment is ideal for developing confidence in ascending and descending steps for stair practice exercises. The Scooter Board Ramp allows my students to develop upper body , grip and core strength as they pull themselves up the ramp. The Hoop Foam Geo Obstacles, Basketball Ring, Bosu Balance Trainer, Tunnel, Balance beam, Tactile Disc Pattern, Cones, bean bags, therapy exercise ball, Step-A-Stones and trampoline are all beneficial equipment to improve my studentś gross motor, motor planning, balance and bilateral coordination. The motivating and therapeutic equipment being requested will keep the students engaged and will help them in progressing towards their goals. It would be of utmost value for my young students who would greatly benefit from various movement in order to learn!
