Imagine sitting at work and listening to squeaking chairs all day long. It would be distracting right? Now imagine being a 15 year old trying to work listening to squeaking chairs. Even worse right?!? Currently, our chairs in our classroom sound like squeaking mice and it is quite distracting. We have tried all tricks to get the noises to stop but it hasn't worked. Every time a student moves, coughs, or sneezes, the chairs squeak. Having new chairs would mean that students would have that quiet time they need to work on their assignments without the distracting noise. Students would also be able to move without the fear of causing a distraction for their classmates. I can hear it now ... quiet chairs!
