I teach Career Focus in Arts, Media, and Entertainment and The Art of Video Production at El Modena High School. El Modena serves a diverse population in central Orange County with 50% classified as socioeconomically disadvantaged, which I see reflected in my class as well. In both classes I teach my students the foundations of visual storytelling, as we learn the professional software applications of the Adobe Suite through project-based learning. I encourage all of my students to find the Hero's Journey in their own lives and communities as sources of inspiration.
