These materials are needed to help the students connect learning and prior knowledge to sound and language concepts. There are a multitude of games and supplies that range from identifying food and common environments to social aspects to increase their language skills, build vocabulary, improve turn taking skills, and improve speech articulation. There are also supplies to help set up the physical environment that is easily accessible for all students that are coming to class, including students with mobile needs. These tools, including Velcro strips and pencil grips, are needed for the classroom so that the students are set up for success. We have found that when we set up the environment optimally, the students are more likely to achieve success. Office supplies are also needed for data collection purposes.
