Each year, teachers, faculty, and staff are given curriculum, resources, etc. to implement into the classroom. So much emphasis is placed on academics and the standards that we are losing our students through stress, bullying, etc. I want to create a classroom in which students can just be a kid again. The classroom will be used as a part of counseling therapy for our hardest to reach students, as well as a Positive Reward intervention for students who "do what is right even when no one else is looking!" I also want to make it suitable for teachers during planning who just need to be reminded that it is ok to let loose sometimes!
