In our class, we use the SmartyAnts early literacy program as well as ABC mouse online; my students can really benefit from these programs if we have touch screen tablets in our classroom. My children range from 3-5 years old and many times they come to me without having ever used a computer with a mouse. They are struggling with my classroom currently having only one computer with a mouse that is very confusing to them. Touch screen tablets can engage them in learning the skills that are so critically necessary to my little ones who are already facing so many challenges.
