I am an upper elementary teacher moving to the primary grades, so I am in need of new books that are at the appropriate grade level. I desire to add to my currently lacking classroom library so that my students will have access to many books to read. By expanding the classroom library, students will have that access and a better opportunity to enhance their literacy skills. My students need engaging reading material. Reading material that inspires and encourages critical thinking. The early grades build a literacy foundation. Students that start out behind and do not accelerate their progress will stay behind. I want to make every effort not to let that happen.
