My students are kinesthetic and visual learners. The phonics kit will allow students to physically interact with and manipulate the content they are learning. The Scholastic 100 Words book is additional support for learning new words and spelling. Many of my students struggle with recognizing basic site words that were taught in kindergarten, so it is good for them to have another spelling resource to refer to. The magnetic sentence strips will allow students to come up to the whiteboard and create sentences without worrying about penmanship. They will have the magnetic sentence strips to help organize their sentences.
