Since we received the bean bag chairs and rug, the students have been so excited to come to math intervention. They have opened up a lot with expressing themselves and sharing their mathematical reasoning with one another. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials they ran and tried to jump on the bean bags, and some made angels on the carpet. I feel like the soft textures really made them feel safe and comforted. \r\n\r\nGoing forward, I want to continue to enhance my classroom environment so that the space is inclusive and collaborative. The drawing pads and supplies purchased from donations were very helpful and loved by my students. Drawing can provide a much-needed mental break from academic pressures and other daily stressors, allowing students to \"reset\" their minds by taking the time tos illustrate their feelings and emotions. \r\nArt is a universal language that transcends communication barriers, making it accessible to students with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles. My students loved being able to express themselves freely. Most put whatever was on their mind on paper and it helped them release it. Some of their illustrations became like a sort of brain dump. Just random things that occupied their mind were now released onto paper. This allowed my students to focus a little better because those thoughts in their heads now had a new space to occupy.","fullyFundedDate":1718229101399,"projectUrl":"project/drawing-therapy-to-the-rescue/8416638/","projectTitle":"Drawing Therapy To The Rescue","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Flores","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6254939_orig.jpg?crop=2276,2276,x0,y30&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1715019290290","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6254939"},{"teacherId":9108713,"projectId":8345572,"letterContent":"My students are loving Holes and all of the drama surrounding Stanley and his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing great-great-grandfather.
