Students Morse Elementary School are an amazing group of scholars! We are located in the city of poughkeepsie where students move and groove at a fast pace. Due to our urban setting, students are in need of basic supplies, technology and a nurturing environment that lets them know they are important. This intervention classroom is a heterogeneous group with true urban diviserty. My goal is to help students reach their academic potential while giving them the tools they need to be successful in real world applications. The purpose of our Math AIS classroom is to support students by filling in the gaps in all the areas they are challeged with fluency of basic math skills. Funding for our students will afford them an opportunity to use hands on manipulatives for differentiated instruction, math based learning via computer games and autonomy to create higher level thinkers and problem solvers.
