My students would benefit from fresh new reading materials in our classroom. The Scholastic News and the Storyworks magazine will help to engage many more of my students as these materials are of high interest. Scholastic news provides students with interesting nonfiction news stories geared for their age group. Storyworks provides reading material for all other reading genres. Students read more when they find interesting texts. The availability of new magazines on a regular basis will also allow me to send home these engaging materials throughout the year. This will hopefully encourage many more of my students to read at home on a more regular basis.

About my class
