This year it has come to my attention that a common group of students in my class come to school each day unable to supply their own snack. With a classroom snack supply my students whom are unable to bring a snack will always have one. They will not face the concerns of waiting hours after school to receive their next meal, as several of my students have long bus rides and would otherwise not eat for a total duration of 6-7 hours. I am requesting snack for my students. Supplying my students with snacks will also ensure that they are able to focus on learning during science, as science is the learning segment that follows snack time at the end of the day. If snacks are supplied in my classroom, my students will not be burdened with concerns about snack time, nor will they lack adequate nutritional energy, nor will the lack of food near the end of a long day impede their learning.
