Our groups are centered around coping skills and yoga. The students really enjoy these groups. We move around a lot, sit on the floor and have fun. In order to ensure that each student has their own space during groups, it is important that we have yoga mats. The yoga mats will also be useful in avoiding slips or falls on the rug during movements and poses. Lavender spray is used during the group to promote a calming environment. At this time, I purchase the lavender spray and the students do not have yoga mats to sit on or complete the poses.
