In my classes, children will learn basic elements of photography. They will explore light, positive and negative space, focus, color, and contrast. They will practice taking both candid and posed as well as close-up photographs. Editing techniques will also be taught. After learning about photography, effective layout and design is a key aspect of my class. Students will be introduced to Microsoft Publisher as well as two online programs. Using these programs, they will be taught how to effectively arrange photographs on a page to create a school magazine and a yearbook.
