Engaging middle schoolers can be hard, so I tasked my 6th graders to design programs within our class and our school that would make them feel more engaged, and excited about coming to school. They quickly took the challenge, and while they have already started a Student Council, they are now working on a School Newspaper, coding and digital media program. This camera/camcorder & mic will allow our budding journalists to take pictures to include in the student newspaper, while the camcorder & mic will allow students to become directors, screenwriters and film editors as we engage in authentic, inquiry-based learning experiences, using the digital arts as a means of expression.

About my class
