Flexible seating in a Special Education classroom allows students who have physical disadvantages the ability to reach their own unique learning style. The alternative seating "levels the playing field" and provides a variety of ways for students to manage their disabilities and emotional stability. Recovery and restoration of my classroom is the top priority in providing a secure and safe environment for my students to come back to; especially for many of my students who have lost their homes. Furthermore, the ability to provide appropriate leveled books for my students to read is vital to propel them forward with a positive rest of the year.
