In first grade we beginning to read stories on our own. Our classroom library is in need of more leveled books. These books will get used daily during our fluency practice reading time. Each student will get a "just right" book for them, a book they can read on their own, based on their reading level. It's important to practice reading on your own, to practice fluency in reading. Fluency leads to strong comprehension, continued access to enriching books leads to strong, well- informed 1st grade minds! These books will make a difference in my students learning because reading leveled books will provide them with appropriate reading material, and help them read their goal of progressing to a higher reading level.
