The materials we have included in our list are for scholars to use post-graduation. We plan to make baskets out of the school, laundry, and dorm supplies to raffle as incentives for our scholars in attendance. The laptop is a major necessity for college now and, with 89% of our school population eligible for free/reduced lunch prices, most of our seniors cannot afford this technology. Most of our scholars do not have access to the resources needed to be successful in school and we included these items because they should not have to be worried about buying essentials such as pens, pencils, paper, during their first semester of college. As we review the cost of college with our scholars, financial burdens become a major deterrent. With your help, we can lighten the load!
