We need ten copies of The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian. We have ten copies of the book already, and need these ten more so all students can access a hard copy in the classroom. Students will read the story, and after certain segments, will write Personal Reflections for various scenarios and life events. This will be compiled into a digital Personal Memoir at the end of the quarter. Literacy is the most important tool students use for the rest of their lives. This book is very high-interest and can spark student interest in reading. Through this Unit, students will increase literacy by reading in small-groups, writing personal reflections and practicing and refining their Google Docs skills.
