With limited access to current literature my students lack in understanding the world around them. We need a subscription to Junior Scholastic and Time for Kids for up to date reading materials that are relevant to their lives and the real world. With the addition of Time for Kids and Scholastic News my students will be able to learn about the events happening all over the world, not just in their neighborhoods or local town. My students enjoy reading about and investigating real life situations and will certainly appreciate the addition of this type of reading material. By donating to our project, you will be providing the opportunity to enhance their academic achievement by practicing their literacy skills involving informational text. This type of available literature will support them in becoming college and career ready graduates with a bright future.
