The title of my project is "Learning is our Speciality" because the items like the Angel Sound Sponge Quiet Divider will help my students focus and provide much-needed accommodations to have a successful school year.
I am grateful that our educational system values all students and realizes that there are different learning styles. All my students have been evaluated and require more specialized instruction. My students have difficulty reading from left to right which is why I am requesting reading trackers. Despite, utilizing various intervention systems a few of my students struggle with decoding and will benefit from the reading pen and phonics materials such as word building block and flip charts. My district purchased laptops for each student two years ago however the students do not have headphones. The addition of headphones allows the students have access to many more online resources in which they can use independently without disturbing their peers. It is important for my students to become active listeners as it translates to a better understanding of their environment and increases their ability to communicate with others. Therefore, having an IEP with the proper materials/equipment will help my students achieve a growth and a higher level of self-efficacy.
