My students go to a New York City public school. They are in classes with a minimum size of 30. They are wonderful children, but they lack a lot of resources due to a huge lack of funding in our school. They have to use much of their own paper and a large amount of class time is spent copying from the board because their school has a limited supply of copy paper. The school itself is wonderful. My principal does the best she can with the amount of money she is allotted. The kids that I teach are between 13 and 14 years old, a crucial age. They are very understanding about the financial burden their school has had to face.
