The better the art supplies, usually means the better the end product. Students take pride in their artwork and when they have access to better supplies they will usually put forth the effort necessary to create beautiful works of art. I have many students that are exceptional artists but struggle in other area of academia. Art is a wonderful outlet and for some it's a path to a productive creative career. Many have never had access to premium art supplies, such as prismacolors. Once shown the difference of low quality supplies versus premium quality supplies, students will get excited and eager to push their creative skills.
