Going to the theater to see A Christmas Carol will enrich the learning experience for my students because many of them have never experienced live theater. Watching a theater performance will help students better understand how written plays come alive on the stage. It will also give them a new life experience of dressing for the theater and learning about theater etiquette. Also, one of my class objectives is to have students identify themes in literature, and Charles Dickens' timeless story of redemption shows children that it is never too late to change. It also shows them the importance of having compassion for all mankind.
