There are gaps in our students foundational literacy skills because of the interruption of in person learning that continues to plague us even as I write this. My focus with these materials is to provide my students with hands on materials for phonics instruction. I want to implement the multisensory strategies I am learning through our LETRS training with these materials for my students. The sandpaper letters are for my lowest students that are in first and second grade that are still learning letters and sounds. The magnetic letters and boards are for my students that are starting to blend words.
