My students need to work together reading and comprehending books in English. I would like to do a class-wide book study in the fall and spring where students and I read books together, taking turns, following along, and reading certain chapters independently. Reading as a class will build each students' fluency, as well as, build a sense of community as we read together. Students will answer questions based on what was read, but having their own books will allow them to flip through the book on their own and take their time when answering questions. Students will be able to work together and help each other through difficult words and comprehension issues.
