My classroom is full of students who love to come to school every day. They really do have a thirst for knowledge. Some children are being raised by someone other than their parents because they are in jail. I try to provide the kiddos an environment that fosters a feeling of a "School Family". We tell each other constantly that we miss each other, love one another, to have a good lunch, etc... We celebrate the highs and the lows together. I really to want them to feel connected to our group. My physical classroom is inviting. I have real plants, pictures of my family and I decorate with a different theme every month. This is their home. I try to teach them to respect everything in it including one another.
