If my project is fully funded I will be able to give my students (2-12th grade) the opportunity to learn about acrylic paint. We will use the artist trading cards canvases to create mini art pieces while learning and exploring different techniques using heavy body acrylic paint and florescent colors. After completing this assignment, the students will be able to trade or keep their works of art. The opportunity of allowing my students to trade their cards will give them an invitation to work on their communication skills with their peers. The materials will make a difference in my students ability to explore new mediums and further develop their communication skills with their peers. I hope that my students not only develop their own artistic style using these materials, but use effective communication skills that will only increase their ability to have a bright future.
