My students engage in reading and writing workshop each day. It is essential to their success that they are in an inviting, comfortable environment. A new rug, and a variety of seating options will allow for students with a variety of needs to feel at home at school. Students will be able to work on floor cushions or lay on the carpet to read. The nesting dining chairs will be used for our literature reading group discussions around a table. The bouncy bands and exercise balls will be used for kids that focus better when they are able to wiggle around a little bit. Clipboards will allow for students to have a secure writing surface when they are not at their desk. Your generous donation will not only help student's focus and engagement but will also effect their achievement in my classroom. My students will be able to read, write and learn in an area other than a traditional desk. Imagine being able to learn in a relaxed cafe styled classroom! This is every child's dream!
