My kids this year love to sit on the floor. They ask to go to the library to work, its the first spot they go to. I want my kids to be comfortable when they are in class. Why should they have to sit at a desk all day? Today's students like to move around and work on the floor instead of sitting at a desk all day. If we have the bean bag chairs students can sit in them during listening centers. Also, the pillows would be a wonderful addition to our library. The big book stand would be nice so I can read to students while they sit on the big carpet, and when it's time for daily 5 students can play with the magnetic letters in the word work center. I want to do all I can to make our room an inviting space for my kids to learn and be comfortable.
