The students in our after school anime club love to spend time in the library after school drawing pictures of their favorite anime characters, and creating characters of their own. It is a safe place for students to gather to share ideas, talents and each other's company. Their art work is proudly displayed all over the library and in local public facilities. This year they hope to enter local art contests. Many of the students like to use the books in our graphic novel section to inspire their drawings. The favorite go to books are Fruits Basket. We currently only have 3 very beat up copies. Having volumes 1-10 on our shelf will create much enthusiasm for drawing and reading! Our library budget has been cut in half this year, so we are hoping for some generous support from the artist and anime fans out there!
