My classroom is a place where students feel safe and invited to be themselves. From the music you hear as you leave the hallway and enter into the room, to the couch in the reading nook, a welcoming atmosphere is what I aim for. Besides the calmness my students feel in my classroom, they also are hit with a slew of colors all around the room and student work on the walls to remind them that this is also their space. I've come to find that the more comfortable someone is, the more they are willing to open up and try new things. We can't forget that in order to learn one must be willing and it starts with how they feel about the environment their in. Welcome to Mr. Fields's class!
