The requested mobile STEM station along with the two Interactive Learning kits are going to be an integral part of our everyday classroom. My students will start their day using higher level thinking and increasing their vocabulary with these kits. The story kits will also include literacy and dramatic play, along with critical thinking. Each kit will foster learning where my students can explore and problem solve. The mobile station will allow us to store the materials in our small classroom and will make it easier to move to the other classrooms. The kit materials allow the students to work alone or with a partner. As they are working they will be able to have conversations with their peers to discuss their thinking and creating process. Students will utilize prior knowledge, as well as learn new information from the people around them, all the while engaged with a manipulative they would otherwise consider "toys". The various manipulatives are going to engage and excite students-making learning fun, rather than it feel like work.
