I teach a Transitional Kindergarten class and have 26 students in my class. My students are eager to learn about their world and learn best with hands on activities and multi-media lessons. Transitional Kindergarten is a new program required by the state for very young kindergarten students (birthdays between September 1 and December 2nd) who are not socially, emotional, physically, and/or academically ready to start the full kindergarten program. This program is very important in helping these students become more prepared for school and be more successful throughout their school career. Unfortunately, although this program has been added there is no funding for some of the hands on materials needed in our classroom. We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us establish this new program.
