I was all set to begin my third year teaching first grade at Adams Elementary before Hurricane Harvey hit and caused severe damage to our school and our entire city. Adams is a Title I school where the majority of our students come from low-income households and the flooding caused many students to lose their homes and everything they owned. In our classroom we lost furniture, technology, books and supplies and your donations would be invaluable in helping us get back on our feet so that we may have a successful 2017-2018 school year.
