Many of my students want more opportunities to read materials other than those learned in the classroom. Our school does not have a library and I would like to create a reading corner in my room. This will be space for scholars when they finish their classwork and have time to read. Scholars will also be able to come to my classroom after school to sit and read. This will help greatly with the reading initiative we have at my school, which we all hope will help put our students at a higher reading level. Help me give them a chance to simply get what they so desperately need and deserve--a true chance to close the literacy gap.
