Students are very active at this age! The students love to touch, feel and have physical movement to decrease their anxiety and help them to focus. I have noticed that traditional school seating options can give these students more anxiety and decrease their involvement and their learning! My goal with flexible seating options in the classroom is to give every student the best chance to achieve their highest potential! I currently have one option other than the traditional desks in my room; however, the limited options leave students out who also would benefit immensely from having active seating options! With this project we will receive wobble stools for my classroom. The stools will help active students to use their energy in a positive way while learning! My long-term goal is to slowly build my flexible and active seating options so that all students, present and future, will have the best learning and active environment for them.
