Students at my school spend many hours in rigorous honors classes including my STEM class. The state requires that students in middle school get 90 minutes of physical activity if they are not enrolled in Physical Education. My school implements this policy through STEM class. My students enjoy the opportunity once a week to go outside and be active. But running, walking, and a few exercises has been all we are able to do. I would like for my students to have an equipment cart with different sports ball, jump ropes, frisbee, and hurdles. This would bring excitement and enthusiasm for students and encourage them to continue to be active and healthy.
