My students need high interest books they can read at their independent reading level. Book selection in our school library is very limited for my students due to their low reading levels. My students need books to read that they will enjoy while they are learning new reading skills to become better readers. Donations for this project will go towards purchasing many Step Into Reading books, which will allow my students to read books rather than listening to someone read to them. These books will not only become better readers, but allow them to read from a book like the other students in their class. My hope is my students will learn reading skills from these books.
