In my opinion, there is no student who is "just not a reader". If a student tells me that they are allergic to books, I take it as a personal challenge. Chances are that the student has simply not been paired with the right book. Your donation will help me expand and update my classroom library, enabling students to find their new favorite book! These high interest, recently published novels will be recommended to students in multiple classes that I teach and be used for choice book blogging units, leisure reading days and even just as a fun book to read outside of class! With this update to my classroom library, I am specifically looking to stock more books dealing with social justice issues, fantasy novels and young adult dystopia series. All of these novels have been recommended to me by former students, which is the best kind of recommendation!
