My 3rd grade students love reading, and we need materials to support their continued learning. We need cushions to help make our reading space comfortable and book bins to organize our books by genre and series, so my students can easily find more books like the ones they love. We need magnetic letters to help support our implementation of phonics, and most importantly we need books! Student choice is very important, and allowing students to choose books at their level to read helps them develop a lifelong love of reading. We need lots of series and book options to support this goal. It's important that students see themselves in the books; we need books with diverse characters to reflect our diverse population!
