My scholars are intelligent, charming and charismatic youth from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They are hilarious, inquisitive and very multi-talented. Most importantly, they are family. At our school, students work on developing academically, but also socially and emotionally. In our small environment, we strive to teach our scholars the character strengths that are essential for their continued success. Our school serves a 100% African-American student body, where nearly all of our scholars qualify for free/reduced lunch. Our scholars come to use from middle schools all over the City of Milwaukee because of our distinct mission of sending them to and through college. They face many challenges: in the classroom, in their communities and in their households. However, they are consistently working towards the goal of college - a pathway to transform their destinies, improve their lives and transform their communities.
