This project will help learners in my classroom with the phonics and literacy support they need. We will use the letter tiles to map out letter sounds and learn letter-sound relationships to build words and learn difficult vowel patterns. We will use whiteboards to write word chains and use dictation of sentences to move from easy to more challenging sentences so all learners can show improvement and growth by using these materials. As a professional educator, I have engaged myself in learning how to fill those gaps through participating in an in-depth literacy study and course called LTRS. Through taking this course I have learned the importance of explicitly and directly teaching phonics and phonemic awareness to help boost a child’s reading skills. I will use these products with my students to help them grow their reading skills through teaching what I have learned in this course.
