I am creating a project to purchase chess boards for my students in my AIG classroom. My students have been learning how to solve logical puzzles and think critically. We have researched the history of the game of chess and students are now ready to learn how to play the game! Due to the large number of students I work with at my school, I am asking for donations for chess boards for our classroom. If we are able to buy enough chess boards for our class, it will allow the students to have chess competitions and benefit from playing against each other. My students are very logical thinkers who love a challenge and also deserve to have fun! Chess enhances mental clarity and is a great game to help with solving problems, analyzing consequences, and formulating future tactics. Children playing chess from an early age exhibit extraordinary memory skills. Chess also helps in improving concentration and academic performance of a child.
