My goal with an active classroom and flexible seating, is to allow my students to feel comfortable throughout the room and learn in an environment that suites each of their needs. In 1st grade, the kiddos are very active and have many "wiggles" throughout the day. My goal with flexible seating is to provide them with different seating options that work for them. The balance ball chairs and active learning stools allow students to move in their own "bubble space" without being a distraction to the other learners around them. These materials will help promote choices throughout my classroom for the students while increasing their productivity and listening throughout the day.
