My students have a deep love and passion for basketball and are easily a favorite hobby and pastime for so many of the kids in my class. Our school, however, does not have a basketball hoop outside in the recess area and overall does not have many recess essentials. Instead, students spend their time on a blacktop without many activities. A simple basketball hoop on the blacktop would make a tremendous impact for not only my students but our entire school community. A basketball hoop would get kids more active during recess and would help students apply their passion for the sport with teamwork and leadership.
